SELF DRILLING SCREW BUTTON PHILLIPS HEAD ZINC

Head Type: Button head (or large wafer head). This low profile, large diameter head provides a larger bearing surface, which helps distribute clamping force evenly and reduces material damage.
Point Type: Self-drilling point (also known as a tek point). This feature, similar to a drill bit, allows the screw to drill its own pilot hole and tap threads simultaneously, eliminating the need for pre-drilling in appropriate materials.
Drive Type: Phillips #2 drive is the common size for this type of screw.
Material: Typically made from hardened carbon steel.
Finish: Zinc yellow plated (or zinc plated with a gold finish). The yellow chromate enhances the basic zinc coating, increasing the level of corrosion protection.
Corrosion Resistance: Offers moderate corrosion protection (Class 2) and is primarily recommended for general internal applications. For outdoor or highly corrosive environments (Class 3 or 4), a galvanised or stainless steel alternative is recommended.
Applications: Ideal for fixing light gauge metal sheeting, cladding panels, fascia brackets, and conduit clips to steel or aluminium frames.
Drilling Capacity: Generally designed to fasten into metal up to 0.75mm - 2.5mm thick.
