Usage Recommendations
To ensure maximum blade life, Starrett recommends a specific run-in procedure: 
Initial Pressure: Avoid excessive feed pressure during the first 25 square inches of cutting.
Gradual Increase: Run the blade at approximately 3/4 of the normal feed pressure initially.
Maximum Rate: Once the run-in is complete, you can gradually increase the feed to the maximum recommended cutting rate for your material.
