Cowdroy 6mm White Foam Backing Rod

The Cowdroy CM11A and CM11D are types of PE (polyethylene) foam gap filler rods designed to fill deep joints, cracks, and gaps. They provide a solid backing structure before applying expensive sealants, caulks, or grouts.

1. Clean the Gap: Remove all loose dust, debris, moisture, and old sealants from the crack.
2. Select the Size: Use a rod diameter that is slightly larger (about 25%) than the width of the gap to ensure a tight friction fit.
3. Insert the Rod: Press the rod into the gap using a blunt tool or roller to avoid puncturing the foam.
4. Apply Sealant: Dispense your chosen flexible sealant directly over the foam backing rod, smoothing out the finish.
