Galvanised hex head bolts in Grade 4.6 are general-purpose, mild steel fasteners primarily used for light-duty construction and non-critical structural applications where extreme strength is not required. The "4.6" rating indicates a minimum tensile strength of 400 MPa and a yield strength that is 60% of that value (240 MPa). 

The hot-dip galvanised finish provides a thick, dull-grey protective layer that makes these bolts ideal for outdoor use, as they offer high resistance to corrosion and rust.
