GRILLE CLIP PANEL PACK

Grille clip panel packs are automotive fastener kits designed to secure front grilles, trim panels, and slam panels to a vehicle's body.

The Expansion Rivet (Push-Pin)
This is the most common type for grilles and slam panels.
The Design: It consists of a hollow outer sleeve (the body) and a central pin (the mandrel).
The Action: When you push the clip into a hole, the sleeve is narrow. Once inserted, you push the center pin down.
The Result: The pin forces the "legs" of the sleeve to flare out behind the panel, locking it firmly in place through friction and physical obstruction.

Removal and Damage
Because these clips are designed for high tension, they often become brittle over time due to engine heat. Attempting to pry them out with a flat-head screwdriver frequently snaps the heads off. Using a dedicated Fastener Removal Tool allows you to apply pressure evenly under the clip head to pop it out safely.
