Material Grades
The primary difference in stainless steel hex nuts lies in their material composition and performance in different environments. 

Grade 304 (A2): This grade provides good general corrosion resistance, making it suitable for many indoor, outdoor, and hygienic applications. It offers strong abrasion resistance and is often used in the food and catering industries.

Grade 316 (A4): Also known as marine-grade stainless steel, this grade includes molybdenum, providing superior resistance to rust, saltwater, chlorides, and harsh chemicals. It is the ideal choice for coastal, marine, and industrial environments. A high tensile variant, A4-80, offers strength comparable to carbon steel 8.8 high tensile fasteners.
