TIG Q CUP KITS

TIG Quartz Cups, such as those in the Topgun TIQC16SKIT, are specialized transparent nozzles used in TIG welding to provide superior visibility and heat resistance compared to standard ceramic cups. 

Their primary purposes include:
Enhanced Visibility: The clear quartz material allows welders to see the arc, weld puddle, and tungsten electrode directly through the cup. This is especially useful when welding in tight corners or awkward positions where an opaque ceramic cup would block the view.
Superior Heat Resistance: Quartz can withstand much higher temperatures and thermal shock than standard alumina (ceramic) or borosilicate glass. This makes them ideal for high-amperage applications, such as welding aluminum or exotic metals.
Improved Gas Coverage: These cups are typically designed for use with a gas lens. This setup creates a wider, more stable laminar flow of shielding gas, which reduces turbulence and allows for longer tungsten "stick-out" to reach deep into joints.
Increased Lighting: Unlike opaque cups, clear quartz acts almost like a light bulb, allowing the light from the arc to illuminate the surrounding weld path, making it easier to follow the joint.

The main choice between the two kits comes down to the application: the small kit for tight access and precision, and the large kit for better gas coverage on wider welds and general fabrication.

Kit Components
Both the small and large kits from Top Gun contain the same type of components, but sized appropriately for the respective cup dimensions:

1x Champagne clear quartz nozzle (specific size)
1x Wedge collet
1x Gas lens collet body (sized for 1.6mm tungsten, but specific to the small or large cup setup)
2x Spare sealing O-rings
1x Screen pack with adapter
