TYPE 17 SCREW NO WASHER

A Type 17 12G x 65mm screw without a washer (often called "bare") is a heavy-duty timber fastener typically used for general construction where a watertight seal is not required. The Type 17 point is a self-drilling tip with a flute that clears timber fibres to prevent splitting and eliminate the need for pre-drilling.

Gauge: 12G (approx. 5.5mm diameter) for high structural strength.
Length: 65mm, ideal for deeper timber penetration.
Head Type: Usually a Hex Head for high-torque driving with a 5/16" driver.
