Type 17 Point: This refers to the self-drilling point design, which has a sharp, fluted tip to capture and remove wood chips and debris as the screw is driven in. This feature minimises timber expansion, reduces the risk of splitting (even in hardwoods), and eliminates the need for pre-drilling pilot holes.
Hex Washer Face Head: The hexagonal head requires a socket bit (nut-setter) for driving and is common in heavy-duty applications like roofing. The integrated washer face helps enhance grip and stability, ensuring a secure fit.
